AQR’s Elite Traveling Team – Est. 2023

Starting January, 2024, The AQR Academy will again prepare for the largest youth soccer tournament in all of North America- the Target USA Cup. Our squad of highly-talented and dedicated athletes will travel to Minnesota to compete with various clubs and teams from around the world and showcase their talents on the national stage.

Located just north of Minneapolis, the Target USA Cup welcomes over 1250+ teams from 17 countries to compete across 75 activities and events, lasting a total of 3 days. The tournament is from July 12th to the 14th. 

To prepare for this significant event, the AQR Academy is looking for a wide range of U12 players and reserves who are eager to compete, learn and grow together. Are you are interested? Register for the upcoming tryouts on January 6th, 2024 at Revolution Soccer Complex from 9:00-11:00AM. New tryout registrations costs $10. Former Academy Players and active Vortex Members can skip the payment after registration. Be sure to check out the FAQs below for early info! (PLEASE NOTE: REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED).

FAQs

  • The AQR Academy is the first travel academy of AQR Futbol Training which is formed during the summer months. Founded in 2022, the AQR Academy is designed to bring both fun and competition to athletes who are motivated and determined. This year, we will compete in the USA Cup in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As of now, the AQR Academy is open to athletes in the U12 division.

  • The first round of tryouts will be held on January 6th from 9:00 - 11:00AM at the Revolution Soccer Complex in Houston. Please register for the tryouts above. Registration is free for existing academy members and Achievers Vortex members. New registrations cost $10.

  • The AQR Academy is committed to providing clear and transparent cost information and support.

    What IS Included:

    • A custom, first-of-its-kind AQR Academy jersey with your athlete’s name and number.

    • An additional AQR Academy training top- which may be used as an alternative jersey if needed.

    • Tournament registration, park amenities and more.

    • 6 weeks of training sessions (days TBD).

    What is NOT Included:

    • Travel and lodging costs

  • Unfortunately tryouts for the 2024 season have closed. Join our newsletter below to receive more information on the next opportunity to join the AQR Academy.

  • Registration for the upcoming tryouts costs $10. However, former AQR Academy members and active Achievers Vortex Members can receive a waived-fee. Simply skip the payment stage after registration. New registrations that skip the payment will be voided.
